Week 42
Mum:
A vaginal exam may be performed to see if your cervix is favorable. Usually by this time your gynecologist may suggest that induction might be the best way forward. So, settle in and enjoy the last few days of pregnancy. Cherish these last few baby movements that you will feel, soon you will be able to kiss him and hug him with all your might.
Baby:
Babies usually do not tend to get much bigger after 40 weeks, since between 41-42 weeks most babies lose body fat and therefore lose a bit of weight.
Dad:
Be sure that the birth bags are ready and get as much sleep as you can. Carry the important phone numbers of the doctor, midwife or carer with you at all times.
